THE APPENDIX

LEGENDS OF THE TRI-STATE AREA

Ayatollah Jihad – Feared and hated villain of the late 1980s. Madman known to stab his opponents more often than wrestle them. Caused a huge controversy when he abruptly retired in 1991 despite being the reigning TSWA world’s champion, and announcing this in perfect English with a pronounced southern accent. He had previously been billed as a non-English speaker from the deserts of Arabia, and this lead to years of ugly and false rumors that wrestling was actually fake.

Buckshot McMurder – One half of the Killer Kowboys tag team with Ross Gracie and currently serving life in prison for murder. AKA Yusuf Mohammed.

Clovis “Slim” Grim – Extremely tall man and half of the popular Scufflin’ Grims tag team with his brother Hillbilly Grim before the team bitterly separated in 1992. Went on to a succesful career in Japan, at one point being the tag team partner of the legendary Great Shiba.

Count Wrischtlockh – Star of STRUGGLE Pro’s hardcore division and multiple-time No Police Involvement champion. Forced into early retirement after an improperly-rigged exploding barbed wire board in a landmine deathmatch nearly blew off his entire ass. Currently STRUGGLE Pro’s senior referee. AKA Referoth.

Dag Boomer – “The Yellow Devil.” Super-heavyweight who was one of several high profile (and high-priced) signings when the original STRUGGLE Pro made a major push to become a national promotion in the late 2000s. Currently signed with the SWA.

The Dream Team – Extremely popular, yet unimaginatively-named faction in STRUGGLE Pro in the mid-2000s, consisting of Big Bird Machine, Ace La Grange, Yumiko La Grange, and Lieutenant Governor Justice. At one point, held every title in STRUGGLE Pro except the cruiserweight title, which none of them could technically hold. Following Lt. Gov. Justice’s betrayal, name change, and exit from the group, feuded for years with his newly-formed Evil Administration. Officially dissolved with Big Bird Machine’s (temporary) retirement and the La Granges’ divorce.

First Lady Evil – Villainous masked wrestler who debuted in Japan (as Lady Evil) in 2004, before eventually landing in STRUGGLE Pro. Chief rival of Yumiko La Grange in the early 2010s and was considered the company’s only serious contender for the STRUGGLE women’s championship. Has never officially retired, but hasn’t appeared in a wrestling ring since 2013. Wife of President Evil. AKA Lady Evil.

Fragile” Jimmy Bone Disease – Inspirational young man who fought through several congenital physical maladies to become a pro wrestler and sign with STRUGGLE Pro. Retired following his debut match vs. Screaming Rage Man in 2010. All known footage of the match has been destroyed.

Retired following a disfiguring allergic reaction to an untested cocktail of performance-enhancing drugs and subsequently sued the living shit out of former manager Brain God the Calculation Master. AKA Think Tank G.

Governor Justice – 1980s/90s superstar, multiple time TSWA world champion and eventual patriarch of the Justice Family. Patriarch of the Justice Family until retiring after a bizarre scandal involving multiple prostitutes and several hundred dollars worth of unlicensed Disney merchandise. AKA Jake Justice.

Homerline Grim – Former Miss Tri-State area who married local legend Hillbilly Grim in 1990 and subsequently served as his valet until their divorce. Mother of Lorelei, Jezebel, and Marcel III (Junior).

Ivan the Awful – Powerful Russian brawler and the top villain of the Tri-State Area territory in the late 1970s and 80s, feuding with All-american superheroes such as Mnny Diaz, Governor Justice, and Big Bird Machine. Considered the greatest wrestler in the history of the Tri-state Area who never actually managed to win the world’s championship. Presently a legitimate businessman, as well as father of STRUGGLE Pro wrestlers Dimitri, Ludmilla, and Ivan Jr. Grozny. AKA Ivan Grozny.

The Masked Instigators – Tri-State Area wrestling tradition of putting jobbers and rookies under masks so they can either wrestle twice in one night or protect their won/loss record, respectively.

The Justice Family – Early 2000s TSWA stable consisting of Governor Justice, Lieutenant Governor Justice, Justine Justice, and Justin Justice.

Justin Justice – Son and oldest child of Governor Jake Justice. Following his father’s public fall from grace, retired from professional wrestling and subsequently disappeared from public life, despite several failed attempts at a music career.

Justine Justice – Daughter and youngest child of Governor Jake Justice. following the scandal that dissolved the Justice Family, disappeared from public life, although it is strongly suspected that she continued wrestling under a mask.

Kaptain Krabs – Crusty former sea captain who was a TSWA mainstay in the 1980s.

Lieutenant Governor Justice – 2000s star wrestler in the TSWA and STRUGGLE Pro and member of both the Justice Family and The Dream Team. Famously betrayed former partner Ace La Grange and mentor Big Bird Machine, beating the two to a bloody pulp with a steel chair, renouncing the very concept of good, changing his ring name, and declaring his ongoing Campaign of Darkness. AKA Instigator #17 and President Evil.

Miss Candy – One of a seemingly endless string of strippers, waitresses, and aspiring actresses who ended up wrestling at least once for STRUGGLE after being promised by Steven T. Ruggle that he could put them on TV. In her only known match, suffered a twelve-second knockout loss in a non-title match to Yumiko La Grange in what would be YLG’s final match before being jailed for nearly beating husband Ace La Grange to death with a pipe wrench. Has since found religion and cleaned up her life, and claims to hold no grudge against La Grange. Has returned o STRUGGLE Pro as a non-wrestling member of Humble Ministries. AKA Sister Candy.

Manolo “Manny” Diaz – “The Mexican American.” One of the most popular wrestlers of the 1980s and a multiple time TSWA world’s champion. Experienced a drop in popularity when it was discovered that he was actually Puerto Rican, and due to Reagan-era cuts in education, was believed to not actually be an American. Final majority owner of the TSWA and current manager of STRUGGLE Pro’s Tyrannosaurus Plex.

Marcel “Big Daddy” Grim – Massive hillbilly who was an extremely popular wrestler in the early days of the Tri-state Area territory. Father of Hillbilly and Slim Grim. Passed away in 1995.

Mildred McGuirk – Legendary Lady wrestler of the late 1970s and early 1980s, and master of the Iron Claw. Believed to have been killed by the CIA in 1985.

Sour Persimmon Cousins – “The Meanest Man What Ever Lived.” Never officially a pro wrestler, but randomly appeared three times in battle royals over the course of a period spanning roughly fifty years and individually kicked the asses of every wrestler in the ring, before telling the terrified audiences to go home. some say he’s still out there, despite the fact that he’d have to be like 140 years old by now.

Sweet Minnesota White – Popular early 80s lady wrestler and chief rival of Mildred McGuirk. Retired in 1986 and currently works as a seamstress, specializing in wrestling attire.

Steven T. Ruggle – Scion of Ruggle Family body Bags, LLC and founder of STRUGGLE Pro Wrestling. Extremely ambitious and spent well beyond his means in an attempt to make STRUGGLE national wrestling power, leading to the promotion eventually becoming a money laundering operation for organized crime. Was sentenced to five years in prison for various financial crimes, then sentenced to an additional 15 years after sexually propositioning a 79 year-old federal judge in a misguided attempt to have his sentence reduced. slated for release in 2032, but is generally expected to have been murdered by his fellow inmates well before that happens.

Think Tank Z – Monstrous member of the Think Tank and perhaps the most infamous wrestler in Tri-State Area history. In brief career in STRUGGLE Pro, he never lost a singles match, ended several careers, and was blamed for the in-ring death of a local jobber, despite courts ruling otherwise. Disappeared without a trace in 2011.
